First You have to know:
“The Sims 3” computer game requires lots of hard drive space, memory, and a powerful graphics card because of game graphics and processor usage that can drain on slow computers. While running on optimal performance with a fast computer running Windows 7 Service or later, you can still play the game by configuring the graphical settings in the game. Graphics settings control how the game works and when lowered for a slower computer, improves performance while sacrificing some of the game’s graphics.
How to make sims 3 run faster
Run “The Sims 3” system requirements diagnostic test on the computer (see Resources) to determine if the computer is capable of high-quality graphics.
<p> Click the “Windows” icon on the desktop and click “All Programs”, “EA Games” and “The Sims 3” to start the game.
Click on a sim family in the game to start the game and click the “Settings” icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Settings icon has three dots that take you to the game setup menu.
Click “Options” in the Settings menu and click the Graphics tab (the first tab) at the top of the Options menu.
Click the Screen Size drop-down menu and lower the resolution to improve graphical performance. Uncheck the boxes next to “Enable Reflections” and “Enable Animation Smoothing”.
Unchecked the box next to “Enable Advanced Rendering.” Slide the Edge Smoothing bar all the way to the left to disable it. Slide the tab on the Texture Detail tab to the left to reduce game details.
Slide the tab on the lightning and shadow the left tab to reduce unauthorized details as these can mow down game performance.
Click the checkbox icon in the lower right corner of the window to save the changes and exit.
